Director of Quality Services (USA)

Job Location: Kansas City, MO, Lansing, MI, Lafayette, IN, Piedmont, SC, or Spring Hill, TN

Prerequisites

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in either Assembly, Logistics and/or Quality Services
  • Strong understanding of customer service requirements and team member development principles as it pertains to Quality Services
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution and people management skills
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with strong computer skills
  • Self-motivated, effective problem solving, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours with possible travel commitments to support new business activities
  • Must be willing to travel to all TFT locations within the USA and Canada
  • Must possess advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Criminal background check, Drug Screen and Post Offer Pre-employment physical

General Responsibility

  • Assist in developing sales tools and marketing presentations for potential clients
  • Providing leadership, support and mentoring in a multi-project environment ensuring overall success of project methodology
  • Able to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret goals, objectives and policies
  • Training, coaching and developing leaders for future growth, maximum productivity and succession planning
  • Set Budget targets and monitors to ensure the facilities are meeting or exceeding budgetary commitment
  • Work with Senior Manager and department heads (Advanced Planning, Engineering, HR, Finance) to set strategic goals for new business opportunities geographically for the company
  • Motivate employees and maintain a high morale
  • Ensure that the ISO 9001:2008 quality system is followed by TFT Inc. personnel
  • Establish/enforce company policies at all facilities
  • Recommend employee positions, promotions, lay-offs and firings to Human Resources
  • Oversee the assessment of the value of every job and each job category to ensure a proper wage scale
  • Assist in the establishment, and ensure compliance, of short- and long-term goals with overall corporate cost reduction targets
  • Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers, customers, and providers
  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to subordinate managers toward their professional development
  • Ensure that all needs of the operations are identified, assessed, and met to support the ongoing performance of the division in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that the health, safety, and security of employees is the number one priority

Direct Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings called by our clients to discuss future RFQ proposals, changes to current business services or address current performance issues at one of our operations
  • Participate in the start-up planning of projects
  • Authorize costing of start-up projects and processes
  • Works with Department Heads in IT, Engineering, Quality, HR, and Finance to design and implement policies, procedures and systems to provide world class services and zero line impacts to all TFT customer locations.
  • Participating in creating a clear vision for the company and playing a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of a strong strategic plan for the organization
  • Ensure the processing of product to TFT Inc.’s expected workmanship and quality through divisional managers
  • Participate in developing strategies, goals, and objectives for all divisions
  • Oversee and direct processes and make improvements to existing operations to ensure efficiency with the flow of goods and services and meet yearly cost reduction targets
  • Plan, staff, and supervise through subordinate managers to ensure a cohesive operational unit
  • Provide direction to management to ensure the effective day-to-day management of operations
  • Oversee all facility design, improvements, and contracts
  • Ensure that all regulatory and compliance measures are always adhered to
  • Analyze and report on Quality Services, weekly, monthly and annual key performance indicators
  • Budget preparation and monitoring to ensure all operations are meeting or exceeding budgetary commitment
