Director of Sales (USA)

Job Location: Kansas City, MO, Lansing, MI, Lafayette, IN, Piedmont, SC, or Spring Hill, TN

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Supply-Chain Management and Quality Services
  • Strong understanding of customer service requirements and team member development principles as it pertains to Distribution and Quality Services
  • Valid driver’s license required; Valid passport is Required
  • Strong leadership skills
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution and people management skills.
  • Advanced communication skills, both verbally and written with strong computer skills
  • Self-motivated, effective problem solving, strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule
  • Ability to travel up to 50% per month – longer as necessary to support new business activities
  • Must be willing to travel to all TFT locations within the USA and Canada
  • Must possess advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Criminal background check, Drug Screen and Post Offer Pre-employment physical

General Responsibility

  • Participate in creating a clear vision for the company and playing a key role in the efficient and effective delivery of a strong strategic plan for the organization
  • Develop sales tools and marketing presentations for potential clients
  • Attend meetings called by our clients to discuss future RFQ proposals, changes to current business services or address current performance issues at one of our operations
  • Providing leadership, support and mentoring in multi-project environment ensuring overall success of project methodology
  • Planning of new project launch, including costing of projects and processes
  • Coordinate the design of products, equipment and processes that may be unique to the start-up location
  • Ensure all physical plant layout requirements are met
  • Initiate mobilization for impending projects
  • Initiate vender relations, setting up payment terms and contact information for finance
  • Working with staffing agencies relating to hiring requirements
  • Initial interviewing of possible hiring candidates
  • Initial training plans and implementation
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all facilities during start-up including Health and Safety
  • Review Start-up budgets and expenses against budgetary limitations
  • Ensure that the ISO Quality System is understood and followed by TFT Inc. personnel
  • Present TFT Inc. in the best light to its employees, instill a sense of TFT culture
  • Motivate Employees and maintain a high morale
  • Enforce Company rules fairly
  • Monitor production and maintain quality records
  • Participate in the Strategic Planning of TFT Inc. as it pertains to future expansion opportunities
  • Assist in the establishment, and ensure compliance, of short- and long-term goals with overall corporate cost reduction targets
  • Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with suppliers, customers, and providers
  • Provide advice, guidance, and direction to subordinate managers toward their professional development
  • Ensure that all needs of the operations are identified, assessed, and met to support the ongoing performance of the division in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that the health, safety, and security of employees is the number one priority
  • Perform other duties as required

Direct Responsibilities

  • Participate in developing strategies, goals, and objectives for all divisions
  • Oversee and direct processes and make improvements to existing operations to ensure efficiency with the flow of goods and services and meet yearly cost reduction targets
  • Plan, staff, and supervise through subordinate managers to ensure a cohesive operational unit
  • Provide direction to management to ensure the effective day-to-day management of operations
  • Oversee all facility design, improvements, and contracts
  • Ensure that all regulatory and compliance measures are always adhered to
  • Ensure high customer service and quality control standards are maintained
  • Provide leadership to ensure a positive, productive team based atmosphere
  • Implement of new programs within budgeted limits
  • Implement of new projects within time constraints
  • Monthly reporting of actual vs. budgeted expenditures
