Prerequisites

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a college or university degree preferred, or an acceptable combination of education and relevant experience
  • No criminal record for which a pardon has not been granted
  • Pass company medical
  • Valid Driver’s License and vehicle insurance as some local travel is required
  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack development (both frontend and backend).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer service mindset, able to communicate in user-friendly language

General Responsibility

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance both frontend and backend components of web applications.
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to implement features according to business needs and user requirements.
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure to support scalable and secure web applications.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including product managers and project leads, to provide updates on progress and any potential issues.
  • Participate in technical discussions related to application architecture and infrastructure design.

Direct Responsibilities

  • Write and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code using modern frontend technologies (e.g., React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Java, Play Framework).
  • Ensure applications are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX features according to design specifications.
  • Develop RESTful APIs, web services, and server-side logic using Node.js or similar server-side technologies.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, and security features.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for security, including data encryption, secure access management, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Stay up to date with security trends and proactively identify areas of improvement in both code and infrastructure.
  • Work with the development team to ensure a smooth workflow between writing code and deploying it into production.
  • Collaborate with the product management team to align on project timelines, goals, and requirements.
  • Identify and resolve technical challenges related to both development and infrastructure.
  • Provide quick solutions to incidents affecting production environments and work with relevant teams to prevent recurrences.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the development, testing, and deployment processes to enhance speed, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices for both the development and operations teams.
  • All other duties as assigned.
